I find it a bit funny, but I was wondering what native German people would think... Haha, i always say, dutch sounds like drunk german. Some dutch friends of mine are not amused. And yeah, it's a bit funny. I like it. ![]() Also... there is this awesome dutch metal band... ![]() Spoiler (Öffnen) I don't understand a word but i don't care. xD RE: the english Laberthread (the fine british way!) - LuminFlare - 19.11.2014, 14:45 (19.11.2014)Whitey schrieb: I don't understand a word but i don't care. xD Haha ![]() I listen to some random songs, and even though I don't understand some them at all, it just sounds great. RE: the english Laberthread (the fine british way!) - Morasain - 19.11.2014, 17:06 Indo-European is our language's ancestor. It's the ancestor of every European* language and a few Arabic and Asian languages as well. There are two different branches of indo-european languages, centum and satem (these words refer two the word for hundred in different languages), with every Germanic and Roman language being centum. Satem languages are mostly eastern languages. By saying "you can't compare agglutinative and synthetic / analytic languages" I actually meant that you can't say that Finnish does the same thing as German when combining words. In Finnish, you have like a word base, and you just add particles to express grammatical relation etc. For example, the sentence "we are in our house at the end if a street" is probably just one or maybe two words in Finnish. Tell us about South Korea, Lumin. RE: the english Laberthread (the fine british way!) - NyancatOpal - 19.11.2014, 18:04 Zitat:Well my German is not good enough to write some decent postsOh ok. I didn´t know that. You aren´t german ? And where do you come from ? Thats so fascinating. RE: the english Laberthread (the fine british way!) - Morasain - 19.11.2014, 18:08 He already told us. He's from South Korea. RE: the english Laberthread (the fine british way!) - Atomicorn - 19.11.2014, 18:11 Omg! He's asian! I love asians, i wish i would be asian too D: asians are so cool! RE: the english Laberthread (the fine british way!) - Morasain - 19.11.2014, 18:17 That's just as racist as saying black people suck :I RE: the english Laberthread (the fine british way!) - Atomicorn - 19.11.2014, 18:29 Is it racist to say that black people habe beautiful, smooth skin? ![]() It's racist to say that it's racist to tell Other people how cool asians are :/ RE: the english Laberthread (the fine british way!) - DrDerrek - 20.11.2014, 00:24 So. Any new chitchat in here? Suffering from Insomnia right now. That would be something like Olemme talommessa tie(I forgot end of, possessive paricle) or so... about 3 words. You still have to write "We are" so writing in 1 word might be hard, or if one can, it would be impractical. 우리는 길 끝에 있는 (우리의) 집에 있다. about 6 (or 7) words in Korean. (Just for comparison) Talking about South Korea... ![]() Korean consists over 97% of the population in south Korea, so it's pretty hard to see foreigners unless you are working at the airport or so. Sadly thousands of people are abandoning their Korean citizenships, so I think the percentage will get lower over time... Well, it's sunnier than Germany, from what I've seen from statistics. The weather is mostly mild, but there are some downpour and typhoons in Summer. Young people here speak a lot about computer games. (If you stop any Korean boy walking by and ask if he knows Leagues of Legends, I would say 90% of the kid would say yes and what character he plays. Or starcraft ![]() RE: the english Laberthread (the fine british way!) - LuminFlare - 20.11.2014, 01:05 (19.11.2014)Atomicorn schrieb: Omg! He's asian! I am not really a cool guy..
