Always a good way to test it in a friendly environment: come to GalaCon RD wink There, we have attendees from literally all over the world, the common language, of course, has to be English (we use German when only German speakers are present on the spot, too, of course). For many of them who come from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, France, the French speaking part of Switzerland, Belgium, Israel, the Netherlands, Indonesia and so on, English is a foreign language, too, the fewest of them are native speakers RD wink And even the native speakers from Great Britain, USA, Canada and Australia know that for most other people English isn't their native language; if you don't understand something, you can always ask again what they meant or for them to speak a bit slower, and they will do it - it's a very good way to use, practice and improve your active language skills in a nice and friendly environment Twilight smile

Now this thread has 86 pages which is very nice. I'm so glad this thread exists, because it's always a good way to improve your english skills here.

Since i have Spotify i listen to much more music. Even in my childhood and in my teenage years, when Viva and MTV were still a thing i didn't listen to that much music back then. Same with youtube, which i used many years ago to listen to music but it also wasn't that much. Do you guys also listen to more music nowadays? and do you also listen to music on Spotify?

I use Spotify at work only. They removed many MLP songs and some are replaced with spanish versions . . . urgh.

At home i have my own libary used with kodi. I downloaded a lot of songs from youtube.

By the way: Happy st. Patricks day!

@D4rkni9htblue

Oh man that must suck, when songs from a popular cartoon like MLP aren't on spotify anymore. And there are just some spanish versions. I would be pissed off too, if i have a favorite cartoon that i like and also would like the songs from this franchise and then suddenly they are removed from Spotify. Probably some licensing issues or maybe another reason why the songs are not there anymore.

By the way thank you for the happy st patricks day wishes. I normally don't really care about this holiday at all but i don't mind it. Unlike halloween which is still not my thing, but i don't hate it anymore like i used to many years ago.

I got used to it a long time ago, thats why i pirate a lot. Applelie
I am that lucky to find the few songs that get discontinued. I love niche . . . What are the odds?  AJ hmm

If you want something save, don't rely on live services. I have a few games, that went dead too. In the past there were mod communities reviving privat servers, but nowadays you can't bet on that sadly. In addition for your afford to save a game, you get a lawsuit, because a AAA Studio bought the license just to let it die.  Twilight: No, Really?

For St. Patricks day, i don´t bother eather. In my Town there is a irish pub, but since it got sold, it isn´t a real irish pub anymore. No guinness here at home, but how about my beloved blackberry cider AJ Prost

I still try to pronounce the word squirrel, but i just can't do it. Even though i try to say it correctly for years now. RD laugh Even after listening to the word many times it's impossible for me. I have no problem with most english words because i can pronounce them correctly, but for me personally the word squirrel is the hardest english word so far.

I like American English more than British English. I personally think American English not only sounds much cooler, but also so much more beautiful than British English. Which i don't hate of course, but it's just not my thing and that's why i rather prefer American English.

No, i never did but many years ago i wanted to travel to the USA. Nowadays, i don't have the desire to travel to this country and there are two reasons why i don't want to do that.

First reason, i prefer to stay home anyway and i'm not interested to travel to any countries right now. The other reason is, i don't like airplanes and i'm afraid of heights. That thought of sitting in a airplane, which could crash down at any moment doesn't make it more interesting for me to travel. But maybe one day i change my mind about this and will travel to the USA, when there are finally other possibilities then to travel to this country.

American to be fair, cause i had british only in school, but got "outside" of it only in contact with american english.

And btw, it is eirher happening a train crash as a plane crash (of course, when it only happens to be a normal emergency, and not being shot from the sky). Sometimes, traveling by plane is faster and cheaper than traveling by train - like end of the month, when i gonto italy again, it is easier to travel there with a plane, who needs only ~ 1h and costs ~140€ (2 flights) as traveling by train, what needs over 13h to travel there - and costs way over 200€, also needing you to buy tickets in sevwral stores for that... The only bad side is the luggage - that needs to be smaller, and lighter due to restrictions on planes.
